Michael Baranowski

Michael Baranowski is Emeritus Professor of Political Science at Northern Kentucky University, where he taught courses in American politics, political institutions, and public policy. His scholarship has appeared in journals including Legislative Studies Quarterly, Politics & Policy, and the Journal of Political Science Education, and he is the author of Navigating the News: A Political Media User's Guide. He earned his Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Kentucky.

Baranowski is also the creator and host of The Politics Guys, a long-running podcast dedicated to rigorous, good- faith discussion of American politics and public policy. Through conversations with commentators from across the ideological spectrum, the program examines contemporary political developments through the lens of constitutional principles, institutional dynamics, and historical context.
