Tobe Liebert has a background as both a lawyer and a law librarian. Following graduation from law school, he was a lawyer in a Louisville, Kentucky, law firm, where he was engaged in extensive research in such areas as products liability, employment law, workers’ compensation and labor law. After earning a Master of Library Science degree, he held library positions at law schools in Chicago, Los Angeles and Austin, Texas. He joined the Chase faculty in 2020. He is the author of several practice guides for lawyers, primarily involving water rights in western states.
Professor Liebert holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Kentucky David Rosenberg College of Law, a Master of Library Science from Indiana University and a Bachelor of Arts from Centre College.
