Professor Alex Kreit has just published a new casebook. Criminal Law in Focus, from Wolters Kluwer:
- Updates the traditional criminal law casebook approach – that tends to focus on homicides and thefts – with cases and issues involving such offenses as drugs and child pornography.
- Looks at contemporary issues in punishment, such as racial disparities, along with traditional theories
- Poses underlying questions with each case, such as prosecutorial discretion and plea bargaining, that could otherwise go unnoticed.
At Chase, Professor Kreit teaches Criminal Law and Healthcare and the Law, and is director of the Center on Addiction Law & Policy.
