Chase Professor Battles Human Trafficking

Professor Sharlene Boltz

Professor Sharlene Boltz is helping to lead the fight against human trafficking in Northern Kentucky. Kentucky Attorney General Andy Beshear joined her today at a program to promote the RIGHTS initiative she co-founded to battle trafficking. “This problem is a community-based problem,” Professor Boltz says. “It requires education of the community. It requires education of our law enforcement, legal team and health care providers so that we can appropriately identify human trafficking victims.” RIGHTS stands for Response Initiative to Guide Human Trafficking Services. Professor Boltz will explain more about RIGHTS and how people can help at a program at 7 p.m. March 21 in Griffin Hall at Northern Kentucky University.
