Chase Law Review will Present Symposium on Drug Decriminalization

The topic is important and the registration is free: The Northern Kentucky Law Review will present the online symposium “The Future of Drug Policy: Is Decriminalization a Solution for Addiction and Policing?” Friday, March 26.

• What it will be: Panels of law professors from Chase and throughout the nation and the United Kingdom, two law review members and people involved in the issue will explore decriminalization of illicit drugs as a strategy to reduce addiction and societal effects of criminalization.

• The Chase participants: Professors Alex Kreit, who is director of the Center for Addiction Law and Policy, Jennifer Kinsley and David Singleton and law review members Katherine Jaggers and Bennett Weaver.
• Other participants: Professors from seven other law schools, leaders of a New York City-based group that advocates for drug decriminalization and a Kentucky legislator.
