Members of the Salmon P. Chase College of Law graduating class think so highly of Professor Barbara McFarland they have selected her as Professor of the Year for 2016-17. The award, which will be presented prior to commencement May 5, recognizes excellence in teaching and commitment to the college and its students.
Professor McFarland is director of Student Success Initiatives, and this spring is teaching Effective Legal Analysis and Advanced Legal Analysis Strategies. The students’ assessment:

She exhibits an unwavering willingness to move mountains in order to ensure that each of us has the foundational skills necessary to achieve our goals. Professor McFarland is a beautiful blend of the nurturing mentor and professional leader.
