Dean Whiteman brings an array of experiences to his role as interim dean. He has taught courses in criminal law and legal research, and has served as associate dean for law library services and information technology. He joined the faculty in July 2002.
Dean Whiteman has spoken at national and regional conferences on matters involving law libraries and legal research, and has published law review articles in the Northwestern Journal of Technology and Intellectual Property and the UCLA Law Review Discourse. His recent publications include Appellate Jurisprudence in the Internet Age, 14 Nw. J. Tech. & Intell. Prop. 255 (2017).
Dean Whiteman earned a Juris Doctor at the University of Louisville Louis D. Brandeis School of Law, a Master of Science in Library and Information Science at Simmons College, and a Bachelor of Arts at Concordia University. He was admitted to practice in Massachusetts.
