In college basketball it’s the Sweet 16 of strong teams. In the Buffalo Niagara Mock Trial Competition in mid-November, it was the Round of 16 to which the Chase team advanced from an initial field of about 40 law schools. The team of Rachel Wilhite, Matthew Smallwood, Addison Thompson and Caroline Herald barely missed advancing to the Round of 8, or what basketball calls the Elite Eight. The team’s coaches were Pete Tripp ’12 and David Bolek.
