Professor Michelle Browning Coughlin

Professor Michelle Browning Coughlin has been selected for a three-year term on the Board of Governors of the American Bar Association, becoming the first Chase faculty member to serve on the 43-member board that acts on behalf of the association between meetings of the House of Delegates.

Professor Browning Coughlin has long been active in the ABA, the nation’s largest voluntary association of lawyers for promoting professionalism, ethics and commitment to the rule of law. Most recently, she has been a commissioner of the ABA Commission on Women in the Profession and a member of the Presidential Appointments Committee. Her Board of Governors term will begin in August.

At Chase, she is director of the W. Bruce Lunsford Academy for Law, Business + Technology, and teaches such courses as Trademark Law in a Social Media World and Property Law.
