Chase Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program

The Chase Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program (VITA) project assists taxpayers in our region in filing their federal and state tax returns, complying with federal and state regulatory measures, and claiming federal and state assistance payments.  During the 2011 filing season, slightly over 2,200 taxpayers were assisted at seven Northern Kentucky community VITA sites.  Through this assistance, these taxpayers were able to claim nearly $1.4 million in family-related tax credits and about $3.4 million in total tax refunds.  Twenty four Chase students participated in this effort during the 2011 filing season.
