On-campus

Northern Kentucky University is a vibrant, suburban campus with approximately 14,000 students. Students at the College of Law have the benefit of studying law at a major metropolitan campus with a small campus atmosphere. I invite you to discover the numerous on-campus attractions and activities that will enhance your law school experience.

Student Union Building

The new Student Union is located right next door to the College of Law and is scheduled to be available in 2008. The Union will be home to the food court and dining areas such as wood-fired pizza and pasta; carvery and comfort foods; a grill; Mexican food; a deli; a soup and salad bar; a bakery and smoothies station; an emporium with a convenient store and take-out food; and the Norse Café with extended hours.

You can also grab coffee at Café Ritaza and Starbucks.

Loch Norse

When you need a place to take a break, what could be better than a peaceful waterfront?

Campus Recreation Center

As a law student, you will have access to the Albright Health Center at NKU. This is a fantastic way to work off the stress built up by hours of studying. The newly renovated facility boasts a 4 lane indoor track, swimming pool, multi-purpose room used for fitness classes, fitness room with a full circuit of free weights and cardiovascular equipment, and basketball, volleyball and racquetball/wallyball courts. You can also take advantage of the CRC’s personal training services.

In addition, you can form a team with fellow law school classmates and participate in intramural events organized by the CRC.

Health Services

Qualified professionals at the Health, Counseling and Prevention Services office are available to provide you with treatment and prevention services in an effort to enhance your health. In addition, you are eligible to purchase health insurance coverage for the expense of accident and illness while you are enrolled at the University.

Theatre/Arts

The theatre department at NKU puts on student written and/or directed plays throughout the academic year and features a professional dinner theatre in the summer. You can also take advantage of numerous art exhibits and musical performances that take place on-campus.

Athletic Events

The brand new Bank of Kentucky Center will provide you with an excellent venue to watch NKU’s athletic events. Most of the University’s teams consistently compete for the top spots in the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC). Admission to most events is free to law students.

Speaker Series

In addition to the speakers at the College of Law, there are a number of speaker series on- campus that are open to the community at large. These series include the Entrepreneurship Speaker Series, the Military History Lecture Series, and the NKU Alumni Lecture Series.
