Judge William J. Wehr
Judge Wehr retired in 2008, after 20 years on the bench. He began as a Circuit Judge in Campbell County, Kentucky, in 1988, and he became Chief Regional Circuit Judge for the Northern Region of Kentucky in 1994. He became the Chief Senior Judge for the statewide Senior Status Program in 2004. Prior to becoming a judge, Judge Wehr was in private practice and also served as a prosecutor. He was elected President of the Northern Kentucky Bar Association in 1987, and President of the Kentucky Circuit Judges Association in 1996. He also served as an elected Delegate to the Kentucky Bar Association from 1984-1988, and on the Board of Directors for the American Judges Association from 1994-1999. Judge Wehr earned his J.D. from NKU Chase in 1976, and he received his B.A. from the University of Kentucky.
