Profile
Professor Mart-Rice is the Assistant Director for Acquisitions, Serials, and Collection Development and an Assistant Professor of Law Library Services.
Professor Mart-Rice manages the Acquisitions and Serials Department, which includes vendor relations, the supervision of all ordering and processing of library materials, and the handling of budgetary functions for the law library. Jennifer is also responsible for analyzing the library collection and leading the Collection Development team, which decides which items to purchase or withdraw and in what format would be most appropriate for our library’s needs.
In addition, Jennifer is in charge of interlibrary loan services, provides reference and research assistance, and serves as an administrator on the chase Law Library’s Facebook page. Professor Mart-Rice also teaches Basic Legal Skills-Research and Advanced Legal Research.
She is a member of the Indiana State Bar Association (ISBA), the American Bar Association (ABA), the American Association of Law Libraries (AALL), the Southeastern Chapter of AALL (SEAALL), and the Ohio Regional Association of Law Libraries (ORALL).
Professor Mart-Rice received a Bachelor of Arts in History and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Indiana University, her Juris Doctor from the Salmon P. Chase College of Law, and her Masters of Science in Library and Information Science from the University of Kentucky.
