Chase Trial Team Finishes as First Runner-up in Regional Contest
Chase trial teams keep making their case with dominating performances in multi-school competitions. This time, the team of Michael Bromell, Sophia Stevenson, Tory Finley, and Kalenga Maweja won every preliminary round in the six-state American Association of Justice Student Regional Trial Competition this past weekend at Louisville and finished as first runner-up. The team was the top seed in the semi-final round, and defeated defending champion University of Illinois College of Law. It lost the final round by one point on each ballot to Belmont University College of Law, which had won the regional three of the past five years. The team was coached by Professor Jack Harrison and adjunct professors Melissa Bodner and Kenneth Foisy.
