Chase adjunct professor, Steven H. Ray, was named a Cincinnati "2014 Lawyer of the Year” for product liability litigation (plaintiff) in the November edition of U.S. News and World Report. The report also listed Ray as a “Cincinnati Best Lawyer” in four other practice areas – product liability defense, personal injury litigation (defendant), personal injury litigation (plaintiff), and railroad law (also recognized nationally). Ray’s firm, the Law Offices of Steven H. Ray, LLC, achieved a Tier 1 ranking in Cincinnati for product liability (plaintiff). The Cincinnati Business Courier published the rankings in a Best Lawyers supplement.

Ray has been listed in "The Best Lawyers in America" since 2007. He has litigated cases at all levels before the United States Courts of Appeals, the U.S. District Courts, and state trial and appellate courts in over 30 states. He has served as prosecutor for two Ohio municipalities and for two decades as a court-appointed arbitrator for the Hamilton County Court of Common Pleas. Ray has taught Arbitration and Legal Drafting: Litigation at NKU Chase as an adjunct professor since 2009. Ray received his J.D. from Rutgers University School of Law (Camden) with honors in international law, and his B.A. from the University of Nebraska in English and economics.
