Reciprocity
We participate in the Brigham Young University Job Bank which provides job listings from 122 participating Law Schools from across the nation. Students and alumni can reach the password protected site from the convenience of their own computer.
The Salmon P. Chase College of Law Career Development Office also maintains a reciprocity relationship with many other law schools' Career Services Offices across the country. Chase students and alumni are able to utilize the services of career services offices at these participating law schools; likewise, the Chase Career Development Office offers our assistance and services to students and graduates of other law schools. The following is the Salmon P. Chase College of Law Career Development Office Policy of Reciprocity:
Salmon P. Chase College of Law Northern Kentucky University Policy of Reciprocity
- The Office of Career Development at the Salmon P. Chase College of Law offers one-to-one reciprocal services to graduates and law students at other ABA accredited/National Association of Law Placement member schools which accord reciprocity services to Salmon P. Chase College of Law graduates and students. The office reserves the right to adjust stated policy if the requesting school has a more restrictive policy. Moreover, this policy will be reviewed periodically to keep pace with employment demand in the legal community;
- Reciprocity is granted for 3 months, beginning with the date of the first visit. Each renewal will be considered as a new request;
- Reciprocity is unavailable during the Fall On-Campus Interview season, August 1 through November 1;
- Requests for reciprocity must be in writing by a career counselor initiating the request. Requests should include the address of the party requesting reciprocity;
- The student or graduate granted reciprocity should contact the Salmon P. Chase Career Development Office prior to the first visit and should bring with him/her the letter granting reciprocity;
- Reciprocity services include access to job postings and the resource library;
- On-Campus or off-campus interview programs, workshops and other events are not available to students and graduates from other institutions requesting reciprocal services;
- The Career Development Office reserves the right to terminate reciprocity to anyone whose conduct is deemed inappropriate.
