Class Gift

Dear Members of the Chase Class of 2009,

We would like to establish a 'class gift' tradition at Chase.  Accordingly, we have agreed to serve on the Class Gift Committee and each of us has already made a gift or pledge to our class gift fund.  We invite each member of the graduating class to make a donation to our class gift fund in the amount of $5, $10, $25, or any other amount.  A number of Chase alumni leaders have agreed to match our gifts in order to double the amount of our class gift.  If you would like to become a member of the committee, let us know by sending an email to Shelley Menninger at menningermi@nku.edu.

Our committee is still considering whether our class gift should be an unrestricted gift to the College of Law or a gift designated for a specific purpose.  It has been suggested that our class gift should be designated for the purpose of 'providing financial support for the benefit of Chase student organizations.'  However, a new student fee to be implemented next year will provide significantly greater funding for Chase student organizations in the future.  If you would like to suggest a designation for our class gift, you may do so by sending an email to Shelley Menninger at menningermi@nku.edu.

You may make a gift or pledge to the Class of 2009 Class Gift Fund online.  Alternatively, you may make a gift or pledge in person or by mail to the Chase Advancement Office, Nunn Hall Suite 541, NKU, Highland Heights, KY 41099.  Gifts may be made by check, credit card or cash.  Checks should be payable to the 'NKU Foundation.'  Each donor will receive a receipt for tax purposes.  If you make a pledge, you will receive a pledge reminder and your pledge will be due by June 30, 2009.  While the total amount of our class gift will be recognized publicly, the amount of each individual gift will not be listed. 

Here's one more opportunity.  If you would also like to make a pledge to Chase College of Law for the next one, two or three years, the total amount of your future pledges will be included in the total calculation of the Class of 2009 Class Gift.  In other words, if you make a gift of $15 now and also make a pledge of $15 for the next three years, the total amount of your gift to the Class of 2009 Class Gift Fund would be $60.00.  You will receive annual pledge reminders and your pledges will be due by June 30th of each year.  If you have questions about pledges for future years, please contact Shelley Menninger at 572-1461 or menningermi@nku.edu.
