JD/MBA Program

The Juris Doctor/Master of Business Administration (JD/MBA) program is an attractive alternative for individuals who wish to practice law and/or business in an increasingly dynamic and complex environment. It is designed to prepare law students who seek to gain or expand expertise in the business arena. Courses in the Chase College of Law serve as electives for the MBA degree; certain MBA courses will fulfill electives for the law degree. Thus, the number of hours required to obtain both degrees through the combined program is fewer than the number of hours required to complete each degree independently. The JD/MBA program consists of 108 semester hours, 30 in business and 78 in law. Upon satisfactory completion of all requirements of the combined program, the student is awarded both a JD degree and an MBA degree.
