Certificate and Concentration Programs

Certificate Programs

NKU Chase's Certificate Programs enable Chase students to focus their studies on particular skill sets or law subjects. Students earn certificates by completing course work and participating in extracurricular learning opportunities and externships. Certificates are available through NKU Chase's Centers and through its Concentration Programs.

  • Centers

NKU Chase Centers provide students an opportunity to develop practice skills that are useful in a wide variety of practice settings. An advocacy practice, for example, requires knowledge of how to try a case; a transactional practice requires proficiency with negotiating and drafting skills. Both the Center for Excellence in Advocacy and the Transactional Law Practice Center offer students the ability to earn a certificate signifying excellence in each respective skill set.
  • Concentration Programs

NKU Chase's Concentration Programs provide students an opportunity to "major" in a particular law subject while simultaneously obtaining a well-rounded legal education. Students can, if they choose, earn certificates through both the Centers and the Concentration Programs.
