  • Parking and walking directions to Chase College of Law once reaching NKU campus:
    • Enter campus via Nunn Drive
    • Turn right at the roundabout onto University Drive
    • Turn left at the traffic light onto Kenton Drive
    • Continue up the hill past parking lots M, L, and K on your right
    • Arrive at the Kenton Parking Garage on your right
    • While exiting the garage, use the skybridge crosswalk or the crosswalk below the bridge
    • Cross Kenton Drive
    • Follow the sidewalk past Griffin Hall on your left (up the few stairs and past Griffin Hall if coming from street level)
    • Follow the oval keeping the grass to your left and the Student Union to your right
    • Nunn Hall is directly ahead

A number of hotels surround the area. We suggest hotels in the following locations (listed from closest to farthest, but all within 15 minutes driving time):

  • Wilder, KY - 1 highway exit away from NKU (less than 5 mins)
  • Newport, KY - 4 highway exits away from NKU
  • Covington, KY - 5 highway exits away from NKU
  • Downtown Cincinnati, OH - 6 highway exits away from NKU
  • Greater Cincinnati - Beechmont Ave. area - 3 highway exits from NKU (15 mins)

Northern Kentucky offers a variety of gathering places featuring local cuisine, nightlife, shopping, the Newport aquarium, and other attractions and scenic riverviews. Cincinnati offers local breweries, restaurants for every palette, major league baseball, professional football, the Cincinnati zoo, art and history museums, ballet, opera, local and national theater productions, and a thriving local music and art scene.

  • Newport on the Levee
    • Shopping, restaurants, riverwalk, Purple People Bridge for walking and cycling between Northern Kentucky and  Cincinnati, bookstores, movie theaters, ice cream, bowling, aquarium, etc.
  • Mainstrasse Village
    • Celebrates Covington, KY and Cincinnati's strong German heritage with local cuisine ranging from late night pizza and 24-hour diners to martini bars and jazz restaurants, bars, clubs, and evening cobblestone strolls.

  • The Banks
    • Surrounding Great American Ball Park, home of the Cincinnati Reds, are a number of local breweries, restaurants, and bars perfect for an evening spent in one convenient location.
  • Fountain Square
    • In the heart of downtown, a large fountain plaza which hosts festivals, food trucks, a holiday ice rink, etc. The square is surrounded by eateries ranging from Chipotle and Rock Bottom Brewery to Brazilian restaurant Boi Na Braza, eclectic Italian restaurant Via Vite, and fresh seafood restaurant McCormick & Schmick's.

Near and On-Campus Dining

There are a variety of dining options both on campus and within a 5 minute drive:

  • On-campus dining at the Student Union or Steely Library
    • Starbucks, Olo Sushi, Papa John's, Route 27 Burritos, Einstein Bros. Bagels, etc.
  • Wilson Ave. restaurants
    • Chipotle, Jimmy John's, Smashburger, and Topper's Pizza
    • Directions to all Wilson Ave. restaurants: leave NKU campus via Kenton Drive, left at the traffic light onto University Drive, turn right onto Sunset Drive, continue until Sunset dead ends, turn left and then make another immediate left onto Wilson Ave.


About Nunn Hall

Chase College of Law is housed in Nunn Hall on Northern Kentucky University’s main campus in Highland Heights, Kentucky. Nunn Hall and the Law Library are fully wireless environments, and both the building and the library are equipped with 24/7 card readers for student and faculty access after-hours.

The Admissions office is on the first floor, and the faculty and administrative offices are on the third and fifth floors. The Law Library is located on the first and second floors, with the main entrance on the second floor. The library has eleven group study rooms for law student use. The student lounge, Eble Student Commons, is on the third floor. The College of Law has ten smart classrooms, a moot court courtroom, and a trial advocacy courtroom, all located on the third and fourth floors. The Student Bar Association office and the student organizations suite are on the fourth floor. The Associate Dean for Students Services, Registrar, Centers, Institute, Career Development, Student Success, and Field Placement offices are on the third and fifth floors.
